Slow-Cooker Sloppy Joes made with JD Seasonings Burger Blend

These slow-cooker sloppy joes are perfect for the whole family. Made with our burger blend, the sloppy joe mixture is mostly made in the slow-cooker too, which means they’re a great option for a busy, weeknight dinner everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 x Pot of JD Seasonings Burger Blend
  • 500g Extra lean beef mince
  • 1 x Brown onion, diced
  • 1 x Green pepper, diced
  • 1 x Tbsp yellow mustard
  • 400g Passata
  • 2 x Tsp sweetener
  • 2 x Tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 50g Red Leicester, grated
  • 60g Reduced fat cheddar, grated
  • 4 x Brioche burger buns
  • Low calorie cooking spray

Method

STEP 1:
Fry the onion, pepper and beef mince in low calorie cooking spray until the mince has browned.

STEP 2:
Drain the fat then pop into the slow-cooker along with the passata, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce and sweetener.

STEP 3:
Mix well, then add in our Burger Blend and combine. Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.

STEP 5:
Once cooked, load into your brioche buns, top with a mixture of your grated cheese.
