Salt and Pepper Special Fried Rice made with JD Seasonings Salt & Pepper Chips

If you fancy a Chinese fakeaway with a kick, this salt and pepper special fried rice is the dish for you. Made with our Salt and Pepper Chips Rub.

Ingredients

  • 1 x Pot of JD Seasonings Salt and Pepper Chips
  • 400g Long grain rice
  • 2 x Eggs
  • 1 x Tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 & ½ x Tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 x Tsp ginger, crushed
  • 3 x Garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 x Pepper, diced
  • 1 x Onion, diced
  • 80g Frozen peas
  • 200g Peeled king prawns
  • 1 x Pork loin steak
  • 1 x Chicken breast
  • 2 x Spring onions
  • Low calorie cooking spray

Method

STEP 1:
Pan-fry the garlic, ginger and onion for 5 minutes, until softened.

STEP 2:
Meanwhile, cook your rice according to the packet instructions.

STEP 3:
Add the pork and chicken breast to the pan and fry for a further 15 minutes.

STEP 4:
Next, add the king prawns and red pepper and cook for another 5 minutes.

STEP 5:
Add in the Salt and Pepper Rub and mix well until everything is coated.

STEP 6:
Combine with your cooked rice along with the peas and soy sauce. Mix well.

STEP 7:
Fry your eggs in low calorie cooking spray, stirring regularly until they have a scrambled consistency.

STEP 8:
Add your cooked eggs to the pan with the rice and mix well. Continue to heat through for 3-5 minutes, then serve with the spring onion sprinkled on top.
