Sausage Pasta Bake

Sausage Pasta Bake made with JD Seasonings Sausage Casserole
A fantastic pasta dish made with our sausage casserole mix will be a firm family favourite.
Ingredients
- 1 x Pot of JD Seasonings Sausage Casserole Kit
- 4 x Low fat sausages, cut into large chunks
- 1 x Red onion, diced
- 100g Mushrooms, chopped
- 1 x Yellow pepper, diced
- 250g Passata
- 1 x Tin of chopped tomatoes
- 1 x Tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 x Tsp sweetener
- 300g Rigatoni
- 60g Red Leicester, grated
- 60g Cheddar, grated
- Low calorie cooking spray
Method
STEP 1:
Fry the sausage in low calorie cooking spray until browned.
STEP 2:
Add the red onion and garlic and fry for a further 3-5 minutes.
STEP 3:
Add the mushrooms and cook for another 5 minutes, followed by the yellow pepper and combine well.
STEP 4:
Pour in the passata, chopped tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce and sweetener and combine, then add in the Sausage Casserole Kit and mix well. Simmer for around 20 minutes, until thickened
STEP 5:
While the sauce is simmering, cook your pasta according to the packet instructions.
STEP 6:
Mix the cooked pasta and sauce together and pour into an oven-proof dish. Top with your grated cheese and bake for 15 – 20 minutes.
